The law relating to data protection is changing on 25th May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force.

COOKIES :

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We would like you to be informed about how we collect and handle your personal data. This includes your name, email address or social media identifiers, phone numbers. In other words, it covers any and all information about you that is capable of identifying you.

Under the GDPR we are ‘data controllers’ of your information. We are called ‘controllers’ because we make decisions about how your data is used – for example to prepare marketing materials – and we also ‘process’ your data when we carry out basic activities like storing, deleting and changing the information that we hold. We take our obligation to protect the information you give us very seriously, and we always take care when using and processing it.

COLLECTING AND USING YOUR DATA :

We collect data from you via 3 means, one is via the sign up to our forms via our website www.gawellholistic.com and  our Facebook page www.facebook.com/gawellholstic ; another way is through your booking online for any of the modalities offered,and lastly through you giving your consent to be contacted  by your preferred method ( email, phone, SMS,etc..)  during consultation time at the begining of the 1st Shiatsu treatment , consent can also be collected at the beginning of a Qi gong class,

In all instances, you opt-in to receive this information.

Credit card :

We do not share with any thrid parties your payment information and these are not stored on our webiste.

This information is stored on our mailchimp & hotmail accounts  for which we use to send you information about our classes, Shiatsu events and workshops via a newsletter. It is not given to anyone else.

Our mailchimp account  stores your name & e-mail address, phone, date of birth , all informations provided on the consent form duringa  shiatsu treatment .

You have the right to opt out at any point using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of all newsletters and you also have the right to be forgotten at any point. If you unsubscribe your information will be deleted from the mailchimp account but if you would like to be deleted by other means then please contact us at gawellshiatsu@hotmail.com
